Testimonials

“After COVID, our daughter developed debilitating anxiety and panic attacks. She was terrified and refused to go to school. Then we found Rachel. Together in sessions, they co-created a storybook with illustrations. Rachel invited us to read it with her at bedtime, and it became a soothing ritual that helped all of us ease the dread of the next morning. Through drama therapy with Rachel, our daughter found a vocabulary to express herself, and eventually found the strength to return to school. The shift was gradual, but remarkable.”

“We came into therapy with major communication issues. Rachel introduced role play exercises early on, which felt a little awkward at first, but she made it feel safe and low-pressure. Stepping into each other’s perspectives — literally — shifted how we approached conflict. We started noticing our patterns, naming what was underneath them, and having real conversations instead of just reacting out of raw emotions. It allowed us to feel more connected and even became fun! Rachel’s creative approach gave us tools we’ll keep using.”

“I came to Rachel with long-standing PTSD. Talk therapy helped to a point, but I still felt disconnected from my body, my voice, and my emotions. In one session, Rachel asked me to build a scene using objects to represent different parts of myself; the scared part, the protector, the part that still hoped. Seeing them laid out in front of me gave me distance, clarity, and compassion I hadn’t felt before. Drama therapy gave me a way to work through my trauma without being re-traumatized. Rachel held it all with so much care. I didn’t just feel supported, I felt safely seen.”
